Joule Thief evolved from endless conversations between lifelong friends Joseph Barrows (vox, bass, and whatever else needs doing) and Timothy Faiella (guitars) about life, music, art, and the nature of consciousness. They hail from Marshfield, MA and conspire electronically from separate sound labs in Seattle, WA and Winona, MN. Their music draws on a broad genre palette spanning post-rock, doom, metal, stoner, and whatever else their experiments might conjure.
